Planning is the best way to be sure the family doesn't get bogged down by day-to-day tasks, and then find itself short on time for doing all the things it really wants to do. Perhaps that's how Grandma managed without our modern conveniences - by planning her work and being well organized. She gave one day to washing, one to baking, etc., and still had time for church activities and parties."
